It was an early Saturday morning, three years after they’d met on
the kickball field. The unmistakable smell of bacon perfumed the air as David lowered the breakfast tray onto the bed. Erin blinked her
eyes and smiled in appreciation. Surprised. Not by the amazing breakfast sitting before her, but
by the early hour at which David was up. As she lifted the fork to take her second bite, David did what Erin had been waiting so
long for him to do. He pulled out
a small velvet box and before he could even get the words out of
his mouth, she screamed “Yes.”
